AG EYE CARE HOSPITALS was found in 1969 by Dr. A. GOVINDARAJAN at No. 6, Officers Colony, Puthur, Tiruchirapalli - 620017 as a 7 bedded Hospital housed in a building of 2300 sq.ft.
His dream was to “PROVIDE VISION FOR ALL” at an affordable cost irrespective of class or creed.
The Hospital functioned in the days when there were very few private Hospitals. What was started as a 7 bedded hospital stands tall today as a 75 bedded Hospital through his dedication, determination & devotion to his profession. His vision was to impart the best treatment to the poorest of poor on par with the affordable.

OUT REACH PROGRAMMES
AG Eye Care Hospitals, Tiruchirappalli, conducts free eye camps in the remote rural villages covering four districts, namely, Tiruchriappalli, Karur, Perambalur and Pudukottai. A team of medical and paramedical staffs travel to the camp site where patients are screened and transported to the base hospital for surgery. Free accommodation and food is provided at the hospital. After the surgery and post-operative care, the patients are transported back to the camp site. Regular follow ups are done to ensure best care and result.
On an average we perform 5,000 surgeries per year. “I care in Eye care is our mantra”. We believe in imparting eye care with precision, passion and personalized attention. Our outreach programmes were started to provide eye care even to the poorest of poor.
